Your initial burn is the most important in determining the life of your candle. Your first burn should up to 3 and 3.5 hours or until a full melt pool has formed. The first burn and every burn after should always melt the wax to the edge of the container, ensuring that as your candle melts it does so evenly down the glass.
Yes, you should trim candle wicks to less than 0.5cm (1/4 inch) before every burn. Long or crooked untrimmed wicks can cause uneven burning, make your candle burn too quickly, produce soot, and reduce the fragrance. For more tips, feel free to contact us at info@glimglamcandles.com.
Soy wax has a naturally low melting point, and cleans extremely easy. Scrape out and leftover wax with a spoon / knife. Using hot, soapy water, wipe clean.
